US employment and labour boutique Littler Mendelson launches two offices in Mexico City and Monterrey, the firm will be led by Mexican attorney Oscar De la Vega and a team of lawyers from local outfit Basham Ringe & Correa.

US employment and labour boutique Littler Mendelson has joined forces with a group of 25 attorneys to launch two offices in Mexico.

Littler De la Vega y Conde has opened up in Mexico City and Monterrey. The firm will be led by Mexican attorney Oscar De la Vega and a team of lawyers from local outfit Basham Ringe & Correa.

The Basham team includes Enrique Garcia Conde, Monica Schiaffino and Javiera Medina Reza, who will join as shareholders. De la Vega will also serve alongside shareholder Juan Carlos Varela as co-chair of the firm’s Latin America practice.

The move is in line with the trend of the recent immigration slow-down from Mexico to the US, which has spurred on an increase in employment within the former.
